Technical Entrepreneurship

Drafted and presented a business plan for a foot insole that applied an innovative, new base technology--Vistik; Vistik is a visco-elastic silicone based material that was developed at the University of Virginia. The semester long project required that we perform in depth industry analysis and research the various stages of production. We proved through our data that there existed an industry niche that could be exploited.

Design of a TIA

Designed CMOS-based Trans-impedance amplifier (low noise with 7.5 GHz bandwidth). This assignment was a part of our final for EE448-Communication Electronics.

Preceding this project were several sub-divided labs in which we designed a wireless receiver (schematics and PCBs included).

Capstone Design

Designed a golf glove with an embedded accelerometer and microprocessor to track the motion of one's golf swing. The microcontroller extrapolated the trajectory of an individual's swing from the force exerted in each direction over time. From the data, one could observe irregularities in swinging technique. Our team drafted patent claims for the device.
